Summer Bookstagram Challenges
Post Ideas to Keep Your Feed Looking Summery
Summer might be winding down, but it isn’t over yet. Keep your bookstagram feed bright and summery by trying one, or all, of these challenges! If you do decide to give one of these a try, be sure to use the corresponding hashtag so others can find your post (for example #blueskystack). Feel free to tag me @7billionwords, too, so I can check out your awesome post!
Summer Bookstagram Challenges
# Blue Sky Books
Nothing says summer, to me, like a bright blue sky. Post a picture of some cute blue covered books.
# Cloud Stack
A white stack of books (held up in front of the sky, if you’d like, just be careful of the sun) reminds me of sunny summer days.
# Sunshine Stack
It’s time to pull out those seemingly rare yellow books, if you happen to have any. This stack is bright and golden. You could use yellow, orange, gold books, or any combination of the three.
# Summer Bucket List
These books can be whatever color you’d like! Just take a photo of all of the titles you hope to finish before summer is over.
# School Summer Reading
This one is mainly for bookstagrammers in school (but really anyone could find a way to make it work). Take a picture of the books you’ve been assigned to read for school and consider asking your followers if they had to read the same ones.
# Summer Story
This one is very literal. Post a photo of a book that takes place during the summer or revolves mainly around summertime.
# Under the Sea Stack
Got any books about mermaids (or other various underwater creatures)? This post is the place to show them off.
# Beach Reads
Summer and the beach seem to go hand in hand so what better way to share those summer vibes than with a beach post? Can’t make it to the beach? Just lay out some colorful towels and use those as a backdrop for your photo. (Shhhhh, no one will ever know.)
# Sunny Summer Reads
You could do this challenge similar to the sunshine stack challenge (posting yellow and orange books). Or you can use it to show off some books that made you smile and feel all sunny inside.
# Road Trip Reads
What is summer a better time for than road trips? Post either a book about a road trip (or if you don’t have any of those), post a book that you would take along for the ride, if you went on a road trip.
# Sandy Stack
Take a picture using brown books (preferably light brown or any color that looks sandy to you). If you live by any sandy areas or have any sand around, you could try to use it as a background for your photo. I try to avoid getting sand in my books, though.
I hope these ideas help, even just a little. Happy reading everyone and have a great summer!
